This weekend I watched the latest adaptation of Stephen King’s classic “It”. Watching the movie was quite the trip down memory lane for I had watched the 1990 adaptation when I was probably a lot younger than I should have. It scared me so much as a kid I was kind of trying to push it out of my head most of my life, till the past few years. The movie starts off with no hesitations Pennywise is there to greet you from the start and the terror of him popping up again looms on through the rest of the movie. I love the visuals are stunning. With today’s technology, the directors are so much more capable of making Pennywise bend and twist like the twisted evil demon that he is. The way Pennywise can morph and change forms looks extremely smooth and realistic. I feel like they are able to capture a more accurate representation of what Stephen King wanted Pennywise to be. My only problem with the movie was at times it seemed a little repetitive. At times it seemed like the story wasn’t really progressing very fast. But as a whole, I believed the movie was decently good. 7/10 I would recommend.
